For a period of one year, my living space in Paris, a former “Chambre de bonne” situated directly under the roof of a building, with a surface of 9m2 and a height of 2,2m, was extremely restricted. It presented for me a kind of bubble, where part of my private life happened. My personal living space was therefore a type of cocoon in the truest sense of the word. I was constantly confronted with my own physical proportions and the size of the room.
My space is the attempt to visualize this relationship while playing with the dimensions of the four walls. The inversion of up and down adds new facets, new dimensions to my space that are usually not useable.
